Sean Miller and his Arizona Staff have added a quality wing talent to replace Gabe York with the commitment of our No.15 rated senior, Rawle Alkins, 6-5 wing from Raleigh, NC Word of God Academy.
He chose Arizona over St. John’s, North Carolina, NC State, and UNLV.
Alkins is a pure scorer who can help the Wildcats compensate for the loss of Gabe York. He has an excellent stroke from three, can create his own shot or attack the rim and finish with highlights that Wildcats fans will love. He was one of the top scorers on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit averaging 24 points and almost 6 rebounds an outing versus the best the circuit had to offer. He is a physical finisher who has added strength and range this past year at Word of God that solidified his spot among the Class of 2016’s elite talents.
He joins 6-5 Kobi Simmons and 6-9 Finnish forward Lauri Markkanen in the Arizona Class of 2016.
