Leonard Hamilton and his Florida State staff have added one of the top available seniors with the signing of 6-5 M.J. Walker, our No.23 rated senior, from Jonesboro, GA High to their Class of 2017.
He chose Florida State over UCLA, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and Ohio State.
His decision gives the Seminoles a true offensive talent who can fill it up from the NBA arc or finish drive at the rim thru contact. He has the tools to create his own shot and is a solid rebounder who can start the break off the dribble and be involved on the finish or trail and knock down jumper with deadly accuracy.
He gives Coach Hamilton’s squad a go to athlete who will change how defenses approach the Seminoles…especially since it will be a squad that is built around a very talented freshman class that Walker heads.
He joins 6-3 Bryan Trimble, 6-5 Anthony Polite, 6-7 Raiquan Gray, 6-7 Wyatt Wilkes, and 6-10 Ikey Obiagu in the Florida State Class of 2017!
