Cuonzo Martin and his Missouri staff have added another key piece for the future with the commitment of 6-10 Jeremiah Tilmon, our No.41 rated senior, from East St. Louis, MO Senior. He announced his decision via twitter:

#Mizzou has a nice ring to it. Welcome, @jeremiahtilmon_! #MIZ

Tilmon was originally headed to Illinois, but when John Groce was let go, he decided to re-open his recruiting, asked for, and was granted a release.

Missouri emerged as the leader early, due to Missouri head coach Cuonzo Martin being from East St. Louis.

Tilmon is a physical inside presence who can attack the glass, finish versus contact and patrol the paint with best in the class. He will give the Tigers a rim protector and low block scorer to go with fellow recruit Michael Porter’s ability to face, pass and score.  Best of all he is most likely a 2-3 year, at a minimum, type recruit who can build the program beyond next year which will likely be the only one Porter spends in Columbia.

He joins Porter and Canisius transfer Kassius Robertson and point guard Blake Harris in the Missouri Class of 2017!
