Greg McDermott and his Creighton staff added one of the fastest rising and toughest point guards in the senior class in 6-1 Marcus Zegarowski from Tilton, NH Tilton School.
He chose Creighton over Ohio State, Minnesota, and Washington.
He was the floor leader this summer for Expressions Elite squad that went 11-5 in EYBL play. He is known for his physical and aggressive style of play, is a good three point shooter who sees the court and understands how and when to attack defenses and create opportunities for his squad. That talent is a key element in utilizing the set plays within the Creighton offensive structure. He is a leader on the floor and fits the mold of lead guard that has been successful in Coach McDermott’s system over the course of coaching at UNI, Iowa State, and Creighton.
He joins 6-10 Ian Steere, a powerful big man, and Christian Bishop, a skilled 6-7 combo-forward in the Bluejays Class of 2018.
