Jay Wright and his Villanova staff have added a key piece to reloading the Wildcats next fall with the addition of 6-4 Albany grad Joe Cremo who was one of the top two or three backcourt talents available on the post grad transfer wire!

Cremo had plenty of interest and chose Villanova over Kansas, Texas, and Creighton the schools he looked at this spring.

But the chance to play for the National Champions seemed like the right decision, and felt like the right place for Cremo;

“It just felt like family to me,” said Cremo. “From the first time I stepped on campus, and the way the players treated me. It was just the right opportunity and it made me want to help these guys win as many games as possible!”

Cremo averaged 17.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and handed out 3.8 assists a game at Albany and has the type of mature game that will allow him to step right in and contribute from day one next fall at Villanova.
