Roy Williams and his North Carolina staff have added a key piece for the future in 6’6 wing forward Nassir Little, our No.13 rated senior from Orlando, FL Christian Prep.

“I just love Coach [Roy] Williams,” Little told ESPN. “He really cares about the players off the court, which is important. They’re a basketball school, which is something I wanted to be a part of. Coach Roy really knows how to win. I love winning. I really do. And that’s important to me.”

He chose North Carolina over Georgia Tech, Duke, Arizona and Miami.

Arizona and Miami were considered the favorites, but when both schools were mentioned in an FBI investigation last week, he quickly eliminated them from consideration.

Little was impressive all summer, and he averaged 17.6 points and 7.5 rebounds on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit. The long and explosive wing man can affect the game on both ends, and is a quality defender who can guard multiple positions. He has range to the arc, can attack the hoop with either hand and has been known to create highlights at the rim. He has a solid mid-range game that keeps opposing defenses off balance and has a motor that draws comparisons to Kawhi Leonard from a number of scouts.

He joins a couple of top notch guards in 6-3 Coby White and 6-4 Rechon Black in the current Tarheels Class of 2018!
