Dave Rice and his UNLV staff made a huge step forward in the Class of 2016 with the commitment of 6-8 Justin Jackson from Findlay Prep in Henderson, NV. We received a heads-up from Findlay Head coach Andy Johnson on the talented Canadians decidsion to be a Runnin’Rebel.

“Findlay Prep Pilot Justin Jackson, a consensus top 30 2016 recruit, has committed to the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels.” Coach Johnson said in a release tonight. “Jackson was one of only 3 players in Findlay Prep program history to average over 10 ppg, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals in a single season.”

Jackson is a 6’8 220 lb wing talent who played both guard and forward for Findlay this past winter, but we expect him to play the two to four spots this winter, depending on the match-ups. He has really worked on his board work and defense over the summer and could have a monster year for Findlay Prep.

He runs with the Canada Elite club program. He was a member of the Canadian national teams and played key role as a 15 year old on the under-17 team averaging 11.2 points and 6.0 rebounds including 17 points vs. the USA u17’s. Jackson who was a standout at NBA Top 100 camp this summer is currently is ranked number 25 in our national junior rankings.
