Chris Holtmann and his Butler staff added a quality front court talent in 6-8 Kyle Young from Massilon, OH Jackson who announced his decision to be a bulldog via twitter:

“Proud to announce that I will be a bulldog!”@kyleyung3144

Butler landed an important commitment on Monday afternoon when fast rising forward Kyle Young chose Butler over Ohio State, Purdue, Michigan and Clemson.

Young is a blue collar forward who comes to war with opponents on the glass everytime he hits the hardwood. He has the tools to stretch the floor, can score from the arc or roll to the blocks and finish around the hoop with either hand. He is an excellent passer who sees open teammates out of post up or off the drive. He has good bounce and finishes thru contact around the hoop. He fits the “Butler mold” and will contribute from day one with the Bulldogs!

He joins 6-3 Cooper Neese and 6-5 Jerald Butler in the Butler Class of 2017.
